Geographical Situation : The Château de Montguéret is in the middle of the appellation Coteaux du Layon and work a wineyard of 100ha.
Sol : The underground is from limestone and clay.
Vinification : Direct pressing with short film maceration periods. Heat-controlled fermentation. Fermentation is halted by cooling to retain 22 g/l of residual sugar.
Color : Pretty salmon pink colour with sheeny reflections.
Nose : Fine aromas of red and dark fruit, a few notes of blackcurrant buds.
Mouth : Full, fresh, well-balanced and fruity.
Recommendations : Goes with delicatessen and desserts, together with certain oriental dishes or sweet and sour specialities which combine beautifully with the sweetness of Cabernet d'Anjou.
Service temperature : Drink naturally cool, at 8 to 10°C.
