Eolia, the wind’s country

Located at the heart of the Muscadet Region, on sandy clay soils, the estate spreads over more than

40ha of vineyards, exposed to the wind from the ocean. Perfect for grapes and magical for the visitor, this Château, with its vaulted cellar, is one of the oldest in the Sèvre-et-Maine. Perpetuating a philosophy of “high culture”, the heirs work on the vines to reach to best quality.

In 2011, the Sauvion family, owner since 1935, acquired the Domaine du Cleray located beside the castle.

Thus, they retrace the Domaine like it used to be at the beginning of the 20th century, with the old cellars and the 95ha of vineyard. Loyal to its image, the «Maison Sauvion» still expresses its identity by making elegant and fine wines, with the energy and the youthfulness of its gardener.
